Role scenario:
Shazam is seeking an outstanding Head of Product Design to manage and grow our Design team. Shazam is one of the most loved apps in the world and you will be the person responsible for driving the creative strategy for our brilliant product. It's a big job but the potential rewards are massive; your work will be used and enjoyed by hundreds of millions of people all over the world.
You will bring a deep understanding of user-focused research, content strategy, copywriting, design, frontend development and interactive development. You will play a key leadership role, not only in managing and growing a winning design team but also in inspiring cross divisional collaboration.
Where does the role sit?
Based in London and reporting into our Chief Product Officer who is based in Redwood City, California. You will have four direct reports between the UK and the US. The role sits within our Product business but will collaborate widely across the whole organisation.
What will you do?
• Design the Shazam product end-to-end, from mobile apps to shazam.com to tools and reporting
• Set a visual language across the company, becoming design champion.
• Conceptualise, strategise, develop and manage a “best in class” creative product for Shazam.
• Develop a superior creative team and continue to grow the creative capability.
• Lead, energise and direct the creative team from concept to completion.
• Work seamlessly cross-divisionally and encourage collaboration.
• Support product growth with user orientated design innovation.
Experience required:
• Be from a consumer technology product background.
• Have experience in design for mobile.
• Have a user focused approach to design.
• Be detail orientated.
• Have a strong track record of managing stakeholders.
• Have an impressive design portfolio.
• Be a charismatic leader that people will want to follow, leading by example
