Content Developer NCLEX

NCLEX ® items to ensure their accuracy, clarity, and appropriateness, to classify test items with respect to their content along with several predetermined dimensions, and to maintain the accuracy and up-to-date information in content-related item database.
The Content Developer - NCLEX works with people in a wide variety of roles, to ensure the high quality of the NCLEX examinations. Primary duties include facilitation of panels and developing and reviewing item content.
• Edit test items to ensure accuracy of content and style
• Provide references in support of each item (i.e., for the correct response and the incorrect response alternatives)
• Facilitate Item Writing and Item Review panels
• Participate in Master Pool Review
• Participate in Operational Review
• Deal with issues related to the NCLEX ® item database and the progress of item development
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Master's degree (completed or in-progress)
• 5+ years recent clinical practice
• Experience with exam development strongly preferred
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong computer skills required
• Effective time management skills and multi-tasking skills
• Strong clinical nursing skills
• Great attention to detail
• Ethics and integrity a must
• Initiative and perseverance a must
• Behavior in accordance with core values
• Experience in nursing education a plus
• Must be a team player
Other (license/certification):
• Active unencumbered RN license
• Participate in required employee trainings: Data Protection and Privacy for Pearson VUE; Preventing Sexual Harassment; and Pearson Code of Business Conduct
