Customer Experience Department
The Customer Experience Department works within the Customer Group supporting our Consumer and PIB businesses to deliver a best-in-class customer experience. The 3 main pillars of customer experience support nearly every facet of Dow Jones globally providing campaign analytics, quality assurance, experience design and much more. They are based out of three main locations (Princeton, NJ; Barcelona, Spain; and Hong Kong).
Customer Data Operations Team
Customer Data Operations handles all inbound acquisition channels (digital and offline); data provisioning for marketing campaigns and advanced analytics; and, outbound customer contacts via email and direct mail for engagement and retention purposes.

Reports to:Director, Data Governance & Insights
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly in-depth reports on online activity and customers.
• Provide ad hoc reporting with insights to meet the needs of internal customers.
• Create and maintain standardized procedures for reporting and data analysis. Document report rules and data sources for consistent re-creation of reports.
• Provide insights into usage trends, customer activities, meet the needs of internal customers including NetGrowth, Finance, PIB , and other lines of business.
• Follow an air-tight quality control process to ensure reporting and analytics accurately reflect usage, circulation and revenue figures.
• Identify and escalate opportunities to improve reporting processes and data feeds
• Support data collection standards are maintained through testing and QA efforts.
• Produce operational metrics to measure throughput and to build scale within a growing organization
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies to ensure data accuracy and build trust in the data among customers.
• Identify opportunities to enhance targeting/segmentation capabilities
• Be able to communicate with internal and external customers about data issues, results, and insights.
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of digital analytics experience using clickstream analysis tools. Adobe Analytics/Omniture preferred.
• Reporting experience a must
• SQL, SAS, and other database tools experience desired.
• Quality Assurance orientation a definite must
• Detail Orientation and Self-starter
• Experience with Python or other scripting language is a bonus
• Media or Publishing industry experience desired
• Strong written and oral communications skills
• Knowledge of subscription marketing preferred.
• Ability to manage quickly changing digital landscape and adapt priorities appropriately
