Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a focused, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, organized, and self-motivated person, with professional experience of travel, logistics, or hospitality management, to join our Events team. The primary focus of this position will be to plan and execute internal and external travel, logistics, and hospitality needs for Blizzard events including esports events. The work will be primarily carried out in English.
This is a six-months fixed-term position in our European office in Versailles.
Responsibilities
• Be the customer-oriented face for the Esports & Events team to coordinate travel and hospitality for Blizzard events.
• Travel:
◦ Responsible for arranging airfare, hotel, catering, and ground transportation for events.
◦ Manage the balance of quality, cost, and suitability of solutions.
◦ Monitor timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
◦ Review and compare invoices, statements, and transactions to validate every charge.
◦ Collaborate with internal Blizzard travel teams and finance to coordinate and vet solutions for upcoming travel requirements.
◦ Work with third-party travel companies to negotiate outsourcing for major activities.
◦ Create, contribute to, and improve travel process documentation.
◦ Provide triage to travel arrangements when requirements change or customers miss travel plans.
◦ Provide on-site assistance for large-scale events including hotel check-in and ensuring guests have a positive travel experience.
◦ Manage visa, passport, and customs situations as required.
• Logistics:
◦ Supervise orders and arrange stock.
◦ Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
◦ Plan and track shipments for events.
• Build and maintain exceptional relationships with teams across the company to execute duties including: Esports, Finance, Legal, Accounts Payable, IT, and others.
Requirements
• A minimum of one year of professional industry experience in travel, logistics management, or front-of-house hospitality.
• Excellent client management skills.
• Ability to establish and build rapport with key industry people.
• Firm understanding of providing excellence.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Experience working with and adhering to budgets.
• Experience working with international teams and exposure to multi-cultural environments.
• Organized, extremely detail-focused and driven to consistently meet project deadlines.
• Excellent communications skills in verbal and written English (French is not a requirement but a plus).
• High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Available for occasional travel, including international travel.
Pluses
• Experience in events travel management.
• Experience in Confluence and Jira with a passion for documentation.
• Expertise in other European languages (French and German especially).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
