The Opportunity
Autodesk is seeking an experienced Marketing or Marketing Operation/Enablement leader to oversee our Field Marketing Measurement & Business Requirements group. This group is chartered with ensuring that our Field Marketing teams have the instrumentation and tools needed to effectively manage their businesses.
As Autodesk’s business model has evolved, so have the demands and requirements on our marketing teams, giving the Measurement & Business Requirements team a sizable opportunity to evolve and deliver new products, and positively impact the organization. This role directs two key functions: 1) defining and providing actionable metrics and scorecards to guide marketing investments and 2) identifying and documenting other business requirements for marketing product and platform development. To be effective, this role must work closely with marketing leadership to prioritize work schedules as well as business process improvements supported by extended teams.
This position reports to the Director, Global Field Marketing Enablement.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
MEASUREMENT & REPORTING
• Work hand-in-hand with FM leadership to identify KPIs and ensure measurement & reporting is aligned to tell a story about marketing program performance and contribution.
• Lead evolution of existing reporting to a scorecard-style approach. Develop and maintain standard views of data for various audiences.
• Effectively eliminate barriers to success by building relationships with the Data & Analytics team as well as other support teams.
• Drive adoption of reporting tools and continuously solicit feedback for improvement.
• Act as a change agent for critical organizational transitions. Drive positive change critical to the success of the function. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve the objectives of a variety of local and global projects.
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT/BUSINESS REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATION
• Responsible for identification and consolidation of Business Requirements across Field Marketing, working closely with Field Marketers as well as extended Enablement team members. These business requirement are for both marketing products and processes, many of which are owned by other teams.
• In select cases, conduct audits of current processes and develop and/or contribute to business requirements or recommendations.
• Work with internal groups and external vendors to ensure timelines and delivery of technology, process improvements and data to effectively streamline and improve systems and programs.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
• Directly manage a team, assign work, evaluate performance and provide actionable feedback to team members to develop skills and competencies.
• Responsible for planning, prioritizing and restructuring workload based on planned initiatives and objectives.
• Lead processes efficiency efforts within the Measurement & Business Requirements team to drive maximum effectiveness of the team.
Experience / Requirements
• BA/BS plus 10+ years of work experience
• Experience managing data and developing reporting for teams, including establishing governance to drive consistency.
• In-depth understanding of Field Marketing systems and processes and documentation of business requirements.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience managing a team.
• Ability to success in highly-collaborative, cross-functional organization.
• Ability to influence senior leaders within the company.
