Responsibilities
The Manager of UPHE Sales Technology will be an integral member of the Universal Pictures Home Entertainment technology team partnering directly with UPHE Sales and Customer Operations teams to support them from all aspects of technology.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain strong relationship with the sales teams and partner closely on all technical projects to provide technical expertise and support
Institute sound process/workflow to automate and streamline technology requests
Serve as UPHEs representative on all company wide sales technology initiatives
Partner closely with the business to strategize and prioritize key sales projects and events
Work closely with other marketing and sales technology teams to identify synergy and best practice sharing
Identify new opportunities, tools, and services to solve business challenges
Works closely with all other Technology teams in identifying, evaluating, and implementing specific information technologies that support the business plans and IT strategies
Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for the day-to-day operational activities across the landscape of applications utilized by the business
Manages a team that includes both project execution and operational support capabilities and is responsibility for all aspects of the project life cycle
Sets and measure performance objectives and provides regular one-on-one feedback to all members of the team
Provides details on cost, value, and opportunity to optimize technology spend across initiatives and support services
Oversee the execution, health, and timeline of key projects
Lead in a matrix team of business analysts, system analysts, coordinators/associates, technical resources and vendors
Serve as a liaison between the business and technical developers
Manage the relationship with key technology vendors and sign off on their deliverables
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of solid hands on experience with Sales systems
Minimum of 3-5 years of client facing and project management experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience implementing solutions with the Salesforce platform
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience running technical teams
Strong technical experience on a variety of system platforms (.net, Java, SQLServer database, etc.)
Deep knowledge of sales process and workflows, including sales forecasting
Strong analytical & problem solving skills
Must show a willingness to learn and ability to learn quickly
Outstanding project management skills
Experience in supporting 24x7 mission critical applications
Analytical skills with the ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, decompose or abstract information to provide effective communication to business and technical audiences, and provide recommendations and point-of-view for key decisions.
Demonstrated experience leading and delivering medium to large scale technical and business transformation projects in a capacity that includes both the management of stakeholder expectations as well as the organization and execution of technical deliverables
Creative and original thinker who is highly self-motivated and has the ability to learn new technologies with a desire to have hands-on experience and an understanding of the business value that it provides
Ability to direct staff and cross-functional IT teams in the business alignment and integration of information technology services
Deep understanding of software development in Agile and waterfall methodologies
Strong presentation & communication skills with ability to interface with all levels of management
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, including the ability to multi-task and juggle many competing priorities and deadlines
Desired Characteristics
Experience supporting Channel Sales and Category Management teams
Home Entertainment or Consumer Packaged Goods business experience ideal, which knowledge of Retail Sales environments
Media & Entertainment experience ideal
Experience as a Business Analyst or Product Manager for enterprise/corporate applications would be ideal
Ability to think creatively to come up with new solutions
Has managed project teams over multiple geographic / international locations
Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Analytics tools is a big plus
Good understanding on digital market place, technology trends and developments
Excellent understanding of marketing, sales & ops related technologies and process
