The Fandango Talent Operations Team is currently seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join the team. Working closely with the team, you will align the Talent Operations team's strategy with Fandango’s business to help us achieve our strategic and operational objectives. This role is a key player in the employee experience, interacting with employees daily, beginning with on-boarding and ongoing through the employment relationship. Working from our Beverly Hills, CA headquarters, you'll collaborate with colleagues across the company to create amazing experiences for our employees! This position will report directly to the Director, Human Resources.
Responsibilities
A day in the life of the HR Generalist:
Employee Experience/HR Initiatives
First line of support to the employees. Address and resolve employee questions and problems with both compliance and service in mind.
Heavily involved in the on-boarding and orientation of all new hires. Continually identifying areas of the employee experience for improvement, where we can reduce bureaucracy, increase the time spent working vs. administrative tasks and improve general productivity.
Help shape initiatives that support our short and long-term business goals — as well as attract, develop, and retain employees.
Review, refine and re-develop current programs as well as develop new ones.
Provide coaching, counsel and direction to employees and managers in areas such as conflict resolution, performance management, and compensation where required and under the direction of the Director of HR.
Contribute to, and may have project ownership of, certain processes for HR/Talent Operations related initiatives.
HRIS Administration/Metrics
Support the team by handling/processing all status change requests including new hires, promotions, terminations, reporting relationship changes, employee information changes, etc. in all applicable company systems.
Create & maintain standard HR reports as needed.
Work closely with HR Director to help establish tools and maximize existing system features to enable effective working relationships with and between managers and employees.
Assist with administration of helpful information/feedback process by conducting how-to trainings for managers and staff, and following through with managers to ensure system is being used.
Assist with the administration of compliance related matters to include leave of absences, worker’s compensation, etc.
Benefits Administration
Partner with NBCU HR team to ensure optimal administration of benefit programs, particularly with regards to Fandango specific programs.
Qualifications/Requirements
What we're looking for:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 3-5 years of progressive HR generalist or related experience; PHR a plus

Desired Characteristics
What you need to bring to the table
Experience providing HR support to departments/client groups within an organization.
Understanding of labor laws and strong HR sensibility and critical thinking.
Background in a fast paced entertainment/creative or technology based industry is preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple, complex projects in a professional, consistent manner; ability to establish priorities, which are consistent with company and department mission and objectives.
Team oriented, self-starter with the ability to drive projects through completion with minimal supervision.
Ability to deal effectively with employees, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
Ability to adapt quickly and be flexible in a dynamic environment.
Ability to increase productivity by assessing and improving key administrative processes.
Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressures and strict deadlines.
Excellent communications skills and ability to communicate and work with employees at all levels required.
Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, & Excel
Experience using the Internet as a recruitment and research tool.
Strong HRIS systems experience a plus.
