DESCRIPTION:
Must know how to motivate in today’s changing environment, can manage inventory as well as people, and bring new ideas to generate revenue. Strong background in Strategic Account Management, sales training/leadership, pricing and budgeting required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Responsible for day-to-day station sales operations and achieving revenue goals.
Effectively manage the station sales department inclusive of managing inventory, pricing, hiring staff, and maintaining market visibility.
Create spot, non-spot and digital sales opportunities.
Establish overall tone and direction of department and set department priorities.
Attend face-to-face calls with Accounts Executives.
Strong Digital knowledge with complete suite of digital products, including display, streaming, retargeting, social, & google analytics
Minimum 2 years digital sales experience
Work creatively to bring about awareness of CBS on-line opportunities in synergy with other CBS platforms
Control and manage department expenses.
Motivate and train staff.
Provide weekly revenue/pacing reports to Director of Sales.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5+ years General Sales Manager experience in foreground radio. Must know how to motivate in today’s changing environment, can manage inventory as well as people, and bring new ideas to generate revenue. Strong background in Strategic Account Management, sales training/leadership, pricing and budgeting required. 4 year degree preferred.
