Job Summary:
The Finance Director will play a critical role in the Financial Planning and Analysis activities for Universal Television. Lead the consolidation and reporting of the overall Studio P&L. The candidate will cultivate a deep understanding of all areas of the studio business (Network License fees, Domestic & International TV Distribution, DVD, EST, Production Costs, Participations, Residuals, and Base Costs). The Finance Director will formulate and drive presentations for senior NBCU management (5-year Strategic Plan, Annual Budget, Monthly CFO Reviews). The Director will report to the VP of FP&A for NBC Entertainment and have significant exposure to various department heads of NBC Entertainment Group as well as Corporate FP&A team in New York.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Finance Director will formulate and drive presentations for senior NBCU management (5-year Strategic Plan, Annual Budget, Monthly CFO Reviews).
Ownership of all Financial Reporting, including Quarter Close, Pacing in-year estimates and long term business plans (5 year Estimates/Projections)
The Director will report to the VP of NBC Entertainment FP&A and have significant exposure to various department heads of NBC Entertainment Group as well as Corporate FP&A team in New York.
Responsible for directly managing one Senior Financial Analyst overseeing all aspects for Studio FP&A.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years experience in a finance role.
BA/BS degree required, BA/BS in Finance/Accounting or related field preferred.
Detail and process oriented with strong analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SAP.
