Job Title
Account Executive
The Account Executive will serve as client contact for day-to-day needs and questions within Meredith Xcelerated Marketing. This position is responsible for tactical coordination of client marketing programs including creative (design and editorial), production, and general account management functions. The Account Executive will work closely with Account Supervisor and Account Director on issues relating to operation of the existing client scope of work. This position functions as one of several direct points-of-contact between MXM and the client contacts.
The Account Executive will support the account team in all facets of managing the account relationship, including creative reviews, communicating client changes, working with project management, invoicing, status reports, etc. This position facilitates creative, production and financial processes for assigned programs in a seamless manner.
The incumbent ensures programs are on track to accomplish program objectives and results set forth on the creative brief. Additionally, the Account Executive is expected to develop and maintain expertise related to client businesses, competition and trends.
Essential Job Functions
Project Management: Interfaces with clients and MXM team members to ensure projects are on target with objectives, budget and schedule. Intercedes between day-to-day client and day-to-day team for issues related to changes in project scope, budget or strategic creative direction
Client Service: Manages internal and external processes, assesses resources and confers with account team members

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, journalism or advertising preferred, or equivalent training and/or work experience
Experience:
Minimum 3 years applicable experience in account management or project management role.
Experience in a creative agency environment preferred
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have strong interpersonal skills and be a good team player.
Must have the ability to manage and direct resources (Meredith and others) to aid client in achieving its marketing objectives, while managing a budget and timeline.
Must have strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
Must be able to work effectively and confidently across departments and at all management levels (internally and externally.)
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
