We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join a small, dedicated team in developing machine learning based solutions for educational assessment. This excellent opportunity is located at our Boulder, CO site.
As a Senior Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
• Putting your knowledge of machine learning into practice
• Using and enhancing our existing machine learning tool sets and operational software suites
• Creating, testing, and maintaining automated writing and math scoring services
Qualifications
Ideal Qualities:
• BS or MS in Computer Science
• Strong background and proven industry experience in software development and operational delivery
• Experience with machine learning, NLP
• Strong coding ability in Python and familiarity with R
• Knowledge of big-data architectures and NoSQL databases including Mongo
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
• Analytical, inquisitive, adaptable, think beyond the normal shaped box!
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Computer Science or EE background (BS, MS or PhD)
• Professional Python development experience
• Good software engineering practices
• Operational delivery experience
• Linux/Unix application development
Additional Bonus Qualifications:
• Go programming language experience
• Cloud technologies and Amazon Web Services
• Experience with Docker and tools such as Kubernetes
• Scikit-learn, Numpy
