What is a Returnship?
A Returnship is an opportunity for professionals who have not been in the workforce for at least two years due to child-care, family care, and other life events, to transition back into a professional setting. Participants of the Returnship will go through a 3 month paid program to gain experience back in the workforce. The Returnship program will run from September 4th, 2017 to November 22nd, 2017.
Who Is Eligible?
This program would be open to anyone who has been out of hte workforce for two or more years and are ready to return. This includes:
• Parents returning to workforce
• Long term caregivers for sick or elderly family who are returning to work
• Military/Veterans
• Disabled
• Long term unemployed
Returnship - Global Finance Operations
Are you looking to learn the ins & outs of Finance within a global media company? Were looking for brilliant Finance Returnees to join our teams to learn the intricacies of Finance Operations and bring fresh eyes to current challenges.
In this twelve week returnship you will help us improve our Global Finance Operations(GFO) team. This is an opportunity to gain a fuller understanding of how the GFO team supports internal business units and external customers of Dow Jones. Over the course of this returnship you will gain experience in the following areas: Finance Operations, Billing, Sourcing, Collections, and Treasury.
Throughout the Returnship, you will work on a variety of projects and tasks assigned by and under the direction of managers/Directors in the GFO organization. You’ll collaborate with and work alongside different business units and teams to help plan and execute projects.

Qualifications:
• Proactive with a can do attitude and the ability to adapt in a fast changing environment
• Analytical approach to solving problems
• Competence with the MS Office suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail
