Role Purpose
The HR Coordinator will perform a broad range of client support activities supporting the NBC Olympics & Sports Operations, including employee interaction, Human Resources administration and project work. This position will provide HR administrative and transactional support to the NBC Olympics & Sports Operations team.
Responsibilities
Process data changes, promotions, timekeeper actions, and termination paperwork
Onboard staff and freelance production employees in HR systems (50%) of the time is allocated to this
Serve as primary user for all HR systems: SAP, Business Warehouse, Timekeeper, etc.
Immediate learning, input and maintenance of data in the Windows-based Olympic People Plus system as it relates to NBC Olympic projects
Coordination of the visa application process for personnel travelling to work the Olympic Games
Assist with the administration of Olympic Games’ personnel including employee setup, communications and onboarding
Help maintain employment and engagement and issue various reports
Process Visas according to foreign country legal requirements
Assist with Olympic intern correspondence and support for Olympic Games as needed
Assist HRMs in the handling of certain benefits, payroll, and disability issues
Post open jobs via Brassring and process all staffing related transactions
Respond to routine HR questions including, but not limited to benefits, payroll, vacation or redirect employees to appropriate contacts
Keep apprised & updated on new regulations, company policies & procedures
Timely and respectfully handling of employee inquiries
Participate in, and support key HR initiatives, including but not limited to performance management, succession planning & compensation planning
Responsible for interview and meeting coordination, general correspondence, presentation preparation and other administrative responsibilities as needed
Minimal calendar work needed for HR department
Work on special assignments and projects
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
Minimum of 1 year administrative experience, preferably supporting an HR function or having HR internships
