OVERVIEW OF ROLE (Scope)
The Television Everywhere (TVE) and Consumer Product team is responsible to innovate and define consumer facing, multi-platform products across multiple networks. A successful candidate will have an expert understanding of product development, excellent problem-solving skills, versatile communication skills, and proven leadership developing systemic solutions.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and deliver compelling solutions for existing and future platforms by working closely with external vendors, engineering, design, marketing, MVPD partner managers.
• Create and review user stories, product requirements and forecasting models provided by product managers.
• Resolve issues on a day to day basis, that affects product delivery timelines and the team’s ability to meet core business goals.
• Identify processes and solutions to increase speed to market, scale, and partner success.
• Run meetings and facilitate requirements gathering from cross-functional working groups.
• Prioritize ongoing new features development based on user engagement analytics and by working closely with design, growth and CRM teams.
• Track timeline and delivery of products and new features across all TVE and SVOD platforms (commercially supported and premium content)
• Evaluate third party vendors and provide them comprehensive requirements through user stories and specifications
• Develop marketing strategy with platform partners and internal marketing stakeholders.
• Evolve tactics from discerning data using google analytics tools across all platforms.
• Attend weekly sprint grooming meetings – clearly document user stories and work with engineering to evolve minimum viable paths.
• Monitor, track progress and update the product roadmap based on business priorities and shifting needs to address quick wins
• Review programming schedule across all networks and schedule publishing/platform updates accordingly.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS (Both Internal & External)
• Mentor, empower and motivate product managers through clear paths for success.
• Work closely with Engineering teams to understand the capabilities and technical constraints of the systems that influences, informs and modifies the designs.
• Attend weekly sprint grooming meetings - communicate level of effort and complexity, mitigate risks, break down epics into measurable tasks.
• Communicate and set expectations on a day to day basis, with key stakeholders during all phases of the product development lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS(Required & Preferred)
• At least 5 years of experience in customer focused, data driven, Product Development
• Deep understanding of product management and software development methodologies, including LEAN and Agile.
• Knowledge and experience with platform services, preferably in one or more of the following areas: content management, user management, MVPD authentications, subscription products, personalization, user engagement, A/B testing
• Understanding of TVE, subscription OTT, and other digital video subscription models.
• Ability to manage complex systems and tech stacks
• Bachelors degree. Experience managing product owners.
