Job Summary:
Seasoned programmatic sales professional who can generate ad revenue through automated / programmatic channels, focusing on incremental streams of revenue relative to Clear Channel Outdoor’s direct sales channel
Job Responsibilities:
• Achieves revenue goal attainment, on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Prospects and develops new customer relationships, with a solution selling-based approach
• Manages pipeline that focuses on trading desks, in-house client programmatic teams and traders / digital buyers at agencies
• Ensures customer satisfaction by facilitating all aspects of the customer's account in cooperation with creative, operations, marketing and finance staff
• Work closely with sales planning team to structure private marketplace proposals that deliver on campaign objectives
• Collaborate with Programmatic account team to deliver reporting to clients & make upsell recommendations
• Conducts Customer Needs Assessments to identify client needs / wants, summarizes for Product Management
• Attends conferences for prospecting and evangelism of CCO programmatic solutions
• Negotiates private deals with clients with management approval
• Entertains clients to forge deeper relationships and drive the business forward
Education
• 4-year college degree, BA/BS or equivalent.
Work Experience
• 7-10+ years of progressive sales experience
• Minimum 3 years of programmatic sales experience
• Demonstrated track record of business-to-business sales experience strongly preferred.
• Combination of media + ad tech sales experience preferred; residency within the territory preferred
Skills
• Programmatic knowledge / aptitude
◦ Technology: core knowledge of programmatic transaction workflow, bid request / response mechanics, interplay between DSPs, SSPs + DMPs and who the major players are at each level of the ad tech stack
◦ Media: must have an understanding of how to smartly utilize audience composition indices in a proposal, build reach / frequency / GRPs and provide the right efficiency levers. Must have experience across display, video and mobile media, with the ability combine in a singular proposal to leverage the strengths of each
◦ Data: prefer strong familiarity with applying 1st & 3rd party data sets, with an emphasis on 3rd party data players in the mobile space (e.g. Factual, PlaceIQ), as well as being able to speak to attribution & measurement capabilities
◦ Tools: experience using SSPs / DSPs / ad servers preferred
• Strong organizational / time management skills, and be detailed oriented.
• Sales achievement with experience in consultative or “needs” based selling techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills including delivering effective presentations.
• Be a self-starter with a diligent work ethic and demonstrated flexibility.
• Able to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and social media platforms
