The Gannett West Regional Sales Center,
located at the Green Bay Press-Gazette, part of the USA Today Network,is seeking a Sales Manager, Inside Classified Sales.
Objective:
Objective: Lead a high-performing, inside sales team dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions to businesses.
• Champions Salesforce.com adoption and models correct utilization of Intelliverse.
• Knows their “numbers”, is always aware of performance to goal.
• Encourages team to focus on long-term profitable growth solutions.
• Has in-depth knowledge of “small business” and its potential.
• Incorporates staff knowledge of advertisers and the market as input into the process.
• Works with senior management to develop aggressive but realistic and achievable goals for staff.
• Tracks performance against KPI metrics.
• Dedicates ample time to coaching top performers to further improve their skills, performance and build loyalty.
• Is able to work collaboratively with peers, senior management, and subordinates.
• Gains trust, support, and consensus of teammates for new ideas, etc.
• Eager to set the wheels of change in motion and can anticipate the benefits of change.
• Has a positive effect on teammates and can be counted upon to take a leadership role in driving change.
Here’s what you need:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of Sales Management experience preferred
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• People management, coaching skills
• Selling skills
• Strives to achieve 120% of goal; minimum standard of performance is 100% of goal.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, planning, communication, organizational, problem solving, analytical, decision-making, and have the ability to create and give presentations.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced highly evolving deadline
• Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
• Must be able to prioritize
• Work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and customers to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
• Desire to learn and understand both the print and online advertising industry and many internal systems
• Problem solving skills
• Must be a self-starter and be able to take initiative
• Must be able to think strategically
• Ability to adapt to change and think proactively
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to type at 50+wpm
