DESCRIPTION:
The Research team monitors industry trends, collects and aggregates data, and surfaces insights. Our work drives strategy and product decisions, and supports advertising sales for multiple brands within CBSi’s Tech, Games, and Media properties, which include CNET, GameSpot, and TV Guide.
Role Details:
We are looking for someone with a strong sense of curiosity who isn’t afraid to dig deep in the data. In this role you will have the opportunity to utilize a wide range of research tools (primary, secondary, and syndicated). Sales and marketing teams will come to you with requests for data, and they will take the insights and stories you find in the data to clients, which will directly impact revenue. You will also provide data and analysis to product and executive teams which they can use to drive decisions.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Pull together data and provide analysis (from all available sources) for client calls and/or RFPs for upcoming campaigns
• Act as resource to sales team in terms of understanding, applying, and communicating data
• Manage approvals of ad effectiveness study requests
• Support primary quantitative research studies from start to finish, including survey design, programming, monitoring, data tabulation, and communication

• Support primary qualitative online and offline research studies from start to finish, including participant recruitment, guide creation, usability test/focus group moderation, and reporting
Key Projects:
• Create monthly comScore traffic reports which are circulated to executives, providing context and insights around competitive trends observed
• Manage quarterly study for a key client
• Stay on top of industry trends and communicate important developments to the team
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 1-2 years of research experience in support of sales and/or marketing efforts
• BA or BS degree required
• Team-oriented, quick learner who can work well under deadline pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Self-starter with strong work ethic and attention to detail required
• Must be well-organized and able to work on several detailed projects/requests at once
• Experience working with syndicated research tools including comScore and MRI a plus
• Analytical mind - quantitative/statistical skills a plus
• Excel and PowerPoint experience required; SPSS skills a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; data visualization skills a plus
• Tech industry experience a plus
• Digital advertising savvy a plus
• Passionate and outgoing, able to build cross-functional relationships
