Job Summary:

The Messaging and Directory Services Engineer is responsible for escalation of critical issues and tier-3 problem management, working with Service Desk staff to identify and remediate issues as they arise. Messaging and Directory Services Engineers practice excellence in customer service, supporting over 800 Radio markets and worldwide Outdoor advertising branches. The Messaging and Directory Services Engineering team interfaces directly with local market business users and IT staff to build positive relationships and enable productivity and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to customer requests and work with Service Desk escalations
• Manage Exchange 2010 / Office 365 Hybrid environments
• Manage Proofpoint, Microsoft, and other cloud based spam filtering solutions
• Implement device interfaces (Android, iPhones, ActiveSync Phones) and respond to issues
• Administer Active Directory attributes per company requirements
• Troubleshooting all Active Directory Issues (FRS, Replication, DNS)
• Respond to customer requests
• Manage and troubleshoot DNS issues
• Project coordination, advising, implementation
◦ Participate in complex projects of long duration providing execution
◦ Provide technical deliverables in the Infrastructure phase
◦ Work closely with upstream and downstream roles
• Maintain and share knowledge, troubleshoot issues
◦ Help share knowledge and skills with teams
◦ Maintain capable, current knowledge and expertise in a wide range of infrastructure techniques, technologies, processes, platforms, and infrastructure systems
◦ Troubleshoot production and non-production issues utilizing the appropriate tools
Requirements:
• Associate’s degree in computer science or related field, certification from a technical school and/or equivalent experience
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft
• Minimum 2 years IT Support - Windows Operating Systems and Software
• Minimum 1 year IT support - End User / Customer Service
• Knowledge of Windows 2008/2012
• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013
• Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, and Web hosting concepts
• Knowledge of Active Directory Users and Computers
