The role of B2B Marketing Coordinator supports the ad sales marketing team at USA TODAY. The role is responsible for ideating and creating marketing programs that boost USA TODAY’s perception amongst agencies and advertisers. S/he will be based in New York. This position reports to the B2B Senior Manager.
Ideating and writing should be a passion-point for this role. As the news changes, so do our team’s priorities; this role requires flexibility and a can-do attitude.
Core Responsibilities:
• Support all proactive B2B and Sales opportunities
• Creating brand materials to be used by National Sales:
◦ Manage library of Sales materials (general presentation, research, tool kits) on a quarterly basis by working with Research, Product, Sports, Branded Content and other internal teams
◦ Support the creation of editorial sponsorship materials that are visually beautiful, cleverly written, and well-organized
◦ Update decks to be in the latest design template
◦ Creation of eblasts (fast turnaround) and newsletters (monthly) for Sales team
• Manage B2B events:
◦ Execute on MediaXchange, CES, Cannes, and other live industry events
◦ Execute post-sale events for advertisers
◦ Ideate and create new ways to encourage agencies and clients to interact with the USA TODAY brand through our products: VR, video and app (ie Summer Sweeps program, agency tours, thought leadership events)
• Day-to-day execution of ad sales marketing support: maintaining team budget, sales gifting, etc.
Required Skills:
• 1-2 years work experience preferred, but not required
• Natural collaboration and bridge-building skills
• Excellent writing skills and a keen visual sense. An eye for detail, both visual and written.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities
• Experience in PowerPoint and PhotoShop
• Ability to take ownership of a task and deliver it to completion
• Enthusiasm for news and for marketing a plus
