Description
The Marketing Specialist is responsible primarily for the planning and execution of all conference and events in the school division. The Marketing Specialist will lead social media campaign integration into all marketing campaigns. The Marketing Specialist will take on smaller marketing communications projects and support the marketing manager with some administrative work such as updating price lists, maintaining customer lists etc.

Qualifications
• Completion of a university/college degree or diploma with a strong interest in marketing
• One to two years of experience in marketing or advertising
• Previous experience in event planning and management
• Previous experience working with Web, HTML, and QuarkXPress
• Previous experience with Twitter, Facebook, blogging and other social media tools
• Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
• Proficient with computers; including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, Access and PowerPoint
• Strong skills in Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Database, HTML, and QuarkXPress
• Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented and strong ability to multi-task
• Adaptable problem-solver and team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
• Able to work on many projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
• Must be able to proactively identify priorities and efficiently deliver projects in deadline-driven environment
