POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Director of Alternate Channel Field Marketing is responsible for building and implementing an Alternate Channels Field Marketing strategy for the Spectrum Enterprise organization including Value Added Resellers (VAR), Systems Integrators (SI), Agents, Navisite Direct & Partners Channels and Carrier. This leaders will be responsible for identifying prospects, growing Channel Partner revenue and nurturing existing partner relationships via events, tradeshows, IT/CIO roundtables, client advisory boards, and incentive/MDF management. This leader will work with the respective sales leaders to set revenue objectives and develop business plans to achieve sales targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for building out the Alternate Channel Field Marketing for Spectrum Enterprise & Navisite organization.
• Execute channel marketing plans and programs, and provide ongoing support for all assigned channels to maximize lead generation, sales revenue, sales productivity, and profitability with a particular focus on value added resellers (VAR), systems integrators (SI), Agents, Navisite (including direct) & Carrier to grow product revenue.
• Partners with the lead generation, brand & product marketing teams to ensure sales enablement via management of the channel sales platform (SOS) and the development of promotions and collateral to increase sell through and return on investment.
• Tracks effectiveness of channel marketing incentives, and recommends promotions and programs to meet sell through and return on investment goals.
• Develops and manages all Channel Partner incentives, promotions, MDF standards/processes, training and account activities.
• Forecasts, formulates, and manages partner market development funds & co-marketing budgets.
• Develops incentives to drive product & revenue opportunity growth across all channels. Create and implement sales tools and programs such as blitzes, so as to maximize sales’ productivity and ROI.
• Develops the event marketing strategy, identifies key tradeshows and marketing partnerships. Manage/coordinate, execute and monitor customer events (including ROI tracking) such as major tradeshows, sponsorships, and other industry events. Track and measure the distribution of venue tickets to Sales teams to maximize return on investment.
• Prepares and presents ongoing reports & dashboards to executive management.
• Supports new offer, product, and campaign launches. Support association and chamber memberships. Facilitate and distribute support materials to all Sales teams within the assigned areas
• Facilitate the development of communications internally, working with Branding and Central Marketing to develop communications for Sales employees.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Ten years telecom channel marketing experience to include a strong knowledge of cloud, network and fiber services.
• Ten years Carrier experience in a telecom environment.
• Exceptional critical thinking mindset
• Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Strong interpersonal skills communicating with outside vendors and co-workers
• Ability to delegate efficiently and manage internal channel teams
• Strategic thinking ability with balanced analytical and creative approach to planning
• Ability to anticipate business needs and new creative
• Demonstrated sales support performance in a telecom environment.
• Experience in building a sales and/or marketing organization is preferred.
• Demonstrated history of exceeding sales and/or marketing goals.
• Outstanding visual, verbal and written communication skills and experience presenting information to senior executives.
• 50% Travel
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; or equivalent training, education and experience
