JOB SUMMARY
Do you have a passion for overseeing the creation of training to affect employee success and customer satisfaction? This is an exciting opportunity to enter the technology and entertainment world as part of Charter Communications Sales & Marketing division.
The Manager of Curriculum Development will oversee the work of individual design specialists and contribute to the design and development of training materials using multiple modalities suited to the various Sales & Marketing sales divisions. In partnership with the other Learning and Development teams including Customer Operations, Field Service, Enterprise, and Leadership, a key objective of this role is to seek opportunities to collaborate, leverage existing content, and deliver consistent training to affect positive customer experiences.
The Manager of Curriculum Development will actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience in support of Company and Business objectives by:
• Leading design and development of sales, new hire and leadership training; serve as creative and planning resource to internal customers and training directors
• Manage design and integration of courses into a comprehensive curriculum; ensure each course can be modularized and marketed to different employee groups as needed
• Lead the development of innovative programs that increase customer satisfaction and generate revenue
THE MANAGER OF CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT WILL
• Collaborate with other Managers to balance workload among the design specialists
• Manage and direct design and development work of vendors as needed
• Mentor and coach curriculum development staff
• Follow a standard intake process to acknowledge client requests for training, engaging with subject matter experts, connecting regularly with sponsors and facilitating comprehensive curriculum reviews for both new programs and regularly for existing content
• Establish and maintain partnership with Delivery team managers and trainers to capture feedback, create co-ownership and trust, and ensure that curriculum is delivered as designed
• Keep abreast of current learning and performance strategies, delivery methods, and techniques
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THESE SKILLS
• Make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
• Manage multiple projects, set priorities to meet target dates for implementation
• Lead and manage others in person and virtually
• Use personal computer, spreadsheet application, database, windows
• Knowledge of various instructional design methodologies and systems
• Measurement and evaluation of training initiatives
• Teambuilding, relationship building, facilitation and presentation
• Show judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties
• Work independently
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resource Development, Business Administration or related field required
• Specialized training in instructional design methodologies
• Knowledge of Storyline and Captivate e-learning design software
• 5 years Instructional design
• 3 years Management
• 2 years Project management
• Organizational development/change initiatives
• Knowledge of cable television products and services
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Office environment
• Approximately 30% travel
