Responsibilities
• Lead the development of E! News’ short and long-term strategy for content marketing across social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
• Lead social media team on daily publishing and community management tasks and funnel feedback straight back to the content leads
• Oversee and manage all E! News handles on social media
• Oversee and manage the E! News social media team
• Work closely with the content team and coordinate content calendars, features and long lead planning
• Comfortable making recommendations and appropriate decisions, and able to exercise sound judgment in how the E! News brand is represented on social media (e.g. what stories to post, when to engage with sensitive topics on social media etc.)
• Work with research to track weekly, quarterly and yearly growth across platforms and adjust social media plans accordingly
• Analyze trends, present actionable plans to content leadership, and execute on findings
• Forecast and manage budget for social media initiatives
• Keep abreast of and make recommendations about emerging social media platforms/changes to existing ones
• Monitor and implement social media best practices
• Understand and evaluate changes to platforms and platform priorities, and make recommendations to optimize our overall performance
• Develop and nurture relationships with key players at social platforms and ensure E! News is first-to-market with relevant social media innovations
Qualifications/Requirements
• 5 years of experience in social media management at a top 20 media brand (not necessarily in entertainment)
• Experience leading and executing successful social media strategies; must be able to demonstrate past success through audience data
• Experience operating within cross-functional teams
