Role:
The Content Analyst is a full-time permanent role responsible for delivering insightful analysis
You will be tasked to help VP Content Licensing develop and run analysis in order to quantify value, identify both strong and weak content, and develop ways to track content quality in an ongoing way.
The analyst will work with senior members of the licensing team on various projects which will help the business better value content we license. This will involve work on multiple projects and types of content – helping mould conclusions about we acquire content in the business.
Responsibilities:
• Work directly with the VP Content Licensing and the team leading and delivering all forms of analysis related to our content strategy
• Develop and lead data driven initiatives that help make our licensed content set stronger
• Develop relationships with global licensing managers; also work with internal partners (WSJ, Barron’s, Marketwatch) as well as third party publisher content partners where needed to complete analysis
• Participate actively in the local Dow Jones office, developing teamwork and cooperation
Skills:
• Genuine interest and aptitude in delivering all forms of analysis and producing clear and actionable plans from this output
• Fluency with data analysis tools - including expertise in pivot tables, and strong financial modelling. You should be highly confident of producing high quality analysis with strong commercial intuition
• Superior organizational skills, with a solution-orientated approach to problems
• Strong presentation skills and ability to gather and convey information to internal product, sales and legal teams where needed
• Understanding of internet and intranet applications, emerging and web technologies, and industry standards. Understanding of XML and news standards formats.
• Proven experience in managing projects according to deadlines
• Understanding of Dow Jones’ mission to provide world-class global news and business information and emerging market trends
• Creative/opportunistic approach to new business ideas and product concepts; openness to new disciplines and area of knowledge
