Position Summary
The Research Analyst has dedicated Research responsibility for a specific market or team. The Research Analyst is directly aligned with sales team to uncover and develop sound and strategic research initiatives to grow revenue for Spectrum Reach. The Research Analyst will support the vision and direction of their Manager and/or Director of Sales. This position requires the Analyst to have knowledge of various advanced Research tools.
Initial focus for this position:
• Respond to time-sensitive day-to-day, ad hoc requests from Corporate Marketing Team for TV and digital performance and sales stories.
• Produce Nielsen rating tracking reports across Spectrum Reach markets on a daily/bi-weekly/quarterly/annual basis; and provide analyses and highlights for cable and broadcast networks.
• Provide support to Account Planners in the development of consumer insights from both syndicated research tools (such as Strata, Scarborough, MRI and/or POLK) and Spectrum Reach proprietary research.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 2-5 years research experience with local broadcast or cable network sales teams or with consumer research companies or advertising agencies
Strongly Desired:
• Proficiency with Nielsen data/applications (Nielsen Galaxy Explorer, Arianna, etc)
• Knowledge and working experience with syndicated research databases such as MRI, Simmons, Scarborough, Kantar
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to work efficiently and accurately a must
• Strong analytical and writing skills with the ability to effectively summarize & articulate research findings
• Must be able to thrive in fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
• Strong computer skills particularly MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint are recommended.
