Position Overview:
The Manager of Marketing Strategy supports the Senior Director, Strategy, Analytics and Media in the development, execution and assessment of marketing strategies. They will work closely with members of the broader NBC News and MSNBC Marketing department to support the maintenance and growth of show brands, digital portfolio and the MSNBC network. The position is based in New York City.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with brand, media, research and analytics teams to develop competitive consumer marketing strategies that align with brand values that can be leveraged in multi-platform promotion.
• Uncover rich consumer, cultural and competitive insights and translate them into marketing communication strategies.
• Help develop and execute the Digital strategy for all News and MSNBC marketing initiatives.
• Integrate qualitative and quantitative research to build and evolve consumer profiles.
• Provide input throughout the creative development process to ensure all marketing communications are “on strategy.”
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of Strategic Planning, Communications Planning, Management Consulting, Marketing or Interactive Consulting experience
• An understanding of analytics and the data landscape including TV, social and digital data as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data to build strategic communications plans
• Strong written and oral communication skills; the ability to simplify and synthesize complex concepts
• An ability to uncover connections, spot trends and identify patterns in content consumption, general consumer behavior and across brands
Additional Job Requirements:
• Ability to work in New York City.
• Readiness to work outside standard business hours when necessary, including on weekends.
