Job Title - Finance Manager – Accounting
Role:
This is a brand new role based in the Corporate Reporting Team in Peterborough reporting to the Head of Finance – Corporate Reporting. The role manages 2 Senior Analysts and 1 analyst.
Responsibilities:
Quarterly reporting
• Management of Quarterly Financial data submissions
• Responsible for NPDG and NIL AR documents
• Ensure controls are carried out throughout process
• Development of team members
• Working with Reporting and Treasury team to feed submission
• Development of HFM system and process efficiency
• Develop stakeholder relationships
• Assist in Group Reporting Audit Process
SOX
• Involvement in process design and testing of various business processes.
• Ownership of Financial Reporting process controls
Acquisitions
• Ad hoc requirements on new acquisitions
• Integration of existing subsidiaries into reporting process
Financial Statements
• Preparation of UK financial statements
• Management of UK audit process and stakeholder management
• Management of year end recharge process
• Review of Group structure and entity reduction process
Balance Sheet
• Management of Balance Sheet reconciliation process and review
• Ensure processes are controlled across finance
Professional Competencies:
Analysis – present conclusions clearly to a financial and non-financial audience
Modelling – construct variable, business-case focused models
Reporting & Compliance – manage complex reporting processes involving input from multiple teams to improve efficiency
Business Knowledge & Expertise – develop good business relationships with key business stakeholders, showing understanding of competitive factors, and legal structure.
Qualification & Experience – qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with experience of a controls nature
Behavioural Competencies:
Leadership – proactively encourage team to work diligently towards common goals
Communicating & Influencing – influence/update colleagues on key information that may be useful for current or future decision making
Relationship Management - proactively communicate to stakeholders who have a reliance on work done and ensure relationships with key stakeholders are maintained
Setting Direction & Decision Making – identify and set clear goals which support department priorities
Additional Requirements
• Qualified ACA or ACCA
• SOX experience
• Large company controls based audit experience
• Up to date technical knowledge with strong accounting skills
• Drive and enthusiasm to develop the role
