We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Financial Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis to join Pearson’s Finance department.
This newly created role will be central to the consolidation and delivery of our Group reporting on performance, forecasts and plans. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker that is looking for the opportunity to apply their understanding of best practice to drive continuous improvement.
The Senior Financial Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis will be tasked with redesigning processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities also will include:
• Coordination and delivery of the annual budgets, forecasts and strategic plans
• Consolidation of Month End Reporting to Group
• Implementation of process improvements to generate efficiencies, reduce data complexity and establish best practice
• Maintenance of budget policies and procedures
• Provision of data driven business intelligence and insight as required
Qualifications
• Professional qualification (e.g. CA, CPA),
• Experience in rolling out budget and reporting processes
• Significant experience in an FP&A role/financial analysis role within a matrix organisation
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Budgeting, planning and management reporting experience
• Demonstrative experience of driving process improvements to drive efficiencies (particularly with regard to the planning and month end reporting cycles)
• Strong initiative with a creative problem solving mind-set
• Ability to drive continuous improvement
