Responsibilities
Role Summary
The Coordinator, Corporate Communications serves as a key member of the team, supporting the department’s two Vice Presidents and its day-to-day operations, ensuring that all aspects of the Corporate Communications department run smoothly. Also serves part of the Internal Communications team, helping communicate and position internal announcements and content.
Responsibilities
Support administrative needs of two Communications VPs (answer phones, coordinate calendar, book travel, manage billing and expenses, and assist with meeting prep)
Responsible for daily morning press clips process; monitor major papers, trades and online outlets for relevant NBCUniversal news and industry clips and distribute to multiple audiences including NBCUniversal senior executives, the various communications teams, and company-wide ‘Top Stories’ distribution
Keep Communications team apprised of all breaking news and monitor for relevant coverage throughout the day; create special clip packets for areas such as Advertising Sales, Diversity and Government Affairs
Distribute press releases to the media through systems including Cision and PR Newswire; train other department members on such systems as needed
Create and maintain journalist press lists as well as keep contact information up-to-date
Assist the Internal Communications team, with internal initiatives including supporting the planning and implementation of internal events and social media as needed
Assist in multiple capacities as special events and projects arise, such as the NBCUniversal Upfront
Maintain department and general Communications team contact lists
Maintain executive bios and fact sheets; update Corporate websites
Manage and direct projects for the Corporate Communications Page
Consistently update and maintain general Corporate Events calendar and distribute to members of Communications team and senior executives
Manage headshot and photography requests
Track and file departmental invoices and handle departmental purchasing card expenses
Coordinate facilities services for department
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 1 year work experience in media industry preferred
