Job Title:
Senior Director of Business Development
Job Summary:
The Sr. Director of Business Development is primarily responsible for securing revenue from new accounts consistent with the annual business plan for SapientRazorfish. This individual will prioritize and lead new business pursuits with support from a cross-functional team. As a result, an inspiring leader that works well in a team environment is required.
The Sr. Director Business Development will have a proven track record of building business in the area of marketing services. Experience should include: development of annual new business forecasts, identification of key accounts and decision makers within those accounts, development of tailored marketing strategy, tracking and reporting on progress against plan, engaging with senior executives, and creating a culture of success within the agency.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Identify new business opportunities and prioritize pursuits
• Create a territory pursuit strategy that aligns with the regional business strategy
• Understand regional P & L and know how to adjust accordingly
• Broad breadth of industry knowledge and pursuits
• Target clients that will be foundation accounts ($5M+)
• Participates in business strategy decision making with GMs and regional President
• Craft sales strategies for top accounts
• Report on progress against plan to senior staff and agency-at-large
• Build a library of selling assets and best practices.
• Ability to learn and sell-in the full suite of Razorfish services that are offered regionally, nationally, and globally
• Cultivate business relationships through networking, industry events and outbound marketing
Experience Guidelines:
• Successful track record (10+ years) of building business within a digital or traditional agency environment
• Ability to speak to both tactical and strategic decision makers
• Proven experience in building and leading a cross-functional team in the pitch/BD process
• Ability to manage larger client engagements independently
• Superb writing and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to take a consultative approach to engaging with C-level marketing executives
• Ability to communicate and contribute cross-functionally throughout the various disciplines within the region.
• Facility with quantitative / financial analysis
• Strong business / marketing strategy skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Familiarity with digital marketing technology
• C-level executive relationships
Educational Requirements:
BA or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred
