Yelp is seeking Business Advocate interns to work side-by-side with the leaders of our organization to educate local business owners across the country on the value of Yelp. You’ll be on the front lines, helping businesses to understand all of the benefits Yelp can offer them, while also helping them build a better profile with photos, content, and information about the business.
We are looking for students who are seeking a career in sales, want to be part of a hard-working team, and are eager for professional development.
Intern Responsibilities and Expectations:
• Manage a high volume of leads, conduct introductory calls, educate clients on the power of Yelp, and help business owners claim their free business owner tools on Yelp
• Make a high-volume of outbound calls to local business owners, across all verticals, each day (70+)
• Work within a fast paced team environment
• 10 flexible hours per week
• 10 Weeks: September 5th - November 10th
Must Haves:
• Rising Senior at Arizona State University pursuing a B.A. or B.S. in Business, Communications, or related field
• Passion for small and local businesses
• Seeking a career within the sales field. Past sales experience relevant to this role is preferred

• Have demonstrated sales aptitude, with relentlessly high standards (you’re never satisfied with mediocrity)
• Are assertive, persistent, a good listener, and persuasive
• Are genuinely curious about people, local business, and possess the innate ability to inspire passion in others
• Adapt to new situations quickly and think on your feet. When faced with new challenges, or tough conversations, failure simply isn't an option

• Train with current top producers and improve daily with feedback
• Become an expert in internet advertising and the world of small businesses
Other Program Details:
• Currently open to Arizona State University Seniors only
• Must be available for initial training all day on Friday, September 1st
• Interns must have reliable transportation through the entirety of the internship
