We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Media Designer, (Project Status Worker) in our Columbus, OH or Chicago, IL office. Does this sound like you?
Reporting to the Manager, Media Acquisition the Media Designer, (Project Status Worker) will be responsible for media asset creation and acquisition and supports cross-functional teams by providing media expertise that meets content needs. Works alongside product development teams to concept, design, research, acquire, track, and seek approval for all media assets: art; photo; video; sound; animation; etc. within MHE school products. Monitors and reports project status and guides work to ensure media assets meet expectations for quality, scalability, alignment to media strategy, budget, and schedule. Maintaining accurate asset data.
This is a project status position with multiple openings.
Critical Functions:
• Researches, procures, or creates purposeful and modular media assets (art, photo, video, sound, animation, etc.) during product build and maintains flow of assets within schedule and budget requirements while maintaining quality established by the media strategy. Manages vendors to media strategy who provide these services for projects.
• Maintains accurate specification records, metadata, and schedules, as well as monitors project asset research/acquisition/creation.
• Maintains and provides accurate asset reporting.
A successful candidate will have:
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a concentration in art, film, audio, video, motion graphics, photography or equivalent work experience.
• Previous experience with project management.
• Previous experience with media research and acquisition.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and scheduling skills.
• Comfortable working in a team environment.
• Proficient with Project Management Systems, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with database systems.
