Responsibilities
Job Purpose
Day to day management of all financial aspects of the different types of television development projects, primarily focusing on scripts and pilot production/alternative development deals, as well as a variety of other projects for the television studio and network. Serve as one of the main contacts/liaisons between the Network and each individual project assigned.
Essential Responsibilities
Oversee P&L, cash flow, and budgeting process for Network Television development, including reporting weekly, monthly & quarterly pacing(s).
Liaison with Entertainment Business Affairs, 3rd party packagers & Universal Television
Assist with the maintenance and modeling of Universal Television development term deal forecast to determine appropriate write-offs and recoupments with television production controllers, ensuring controllership and compliance with GAAP.
Assist with the quarterly close process, including preparation, and review of inter-company transfers, write-offs and production allocations in multiple financial systems (i.e. Vista and SAP).
Report and explain development cost variances.
Prepare, analyze, and present recommendations tied to various development options/scenarios, focusing on cost efficiency.
Review, summarize, and present feedback on development related contracts.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience in a finance role.
Detail and process oriented with strong analytical skills.
General/working knowledge of ASC 926 & 920.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SAP.
BA/BS degree required, BA/BS in Finance/Accounting or related field preferred.
