Responsibilities
The Production Assistant will maintain department cost tracking reports for DreamWorks Animation’s worldwide TV series. A background in finance and working with international companies is preferred. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, liaising directly with international dubbing studios and internal finance teams on vendor set-ups and international tax forms. The incumbent may be exposed to all areas of dubbing operations, and could be tasked with ad-hoc projects as deemed appropriate by the Dubbing Manager.
Maintains and oversees cost tracking reports for all worldwide TV localization.
Processes department invoices for international studios and all dubbing contributors.
Liaises with dubbing studios for processing and set-up of international tax forms.
Communicates directly with Universal AP and Finance teams to track progress of vendor set-up and payment of dubbing studio invoices.
Liaises between vendors and Accounting for payment schedules and any accounting-related concerns/troubleshooting.
Updates and maintain information on established dubbing studios (rate card, tech specs, company profiles, studio capacity)
Assists with department archiving across all areas of dubbing operations.
Familiarity with specific day to day requirements for the department. Communicates with other departments regarding department needs.
Assists International Dubbing Manager with department calendar and handles the scheduling for the Department Head. Interacts with department leadership.
Responsible for gathering research material specific to the department.
Responsible for various daily office activities (i.e. schedules meetings, books rooms, prepares items for shipment, copies, faxes, files, types up notes and distributes accordingly, timecard processing, orders office supplies, runs errands and handles travel arrangements).
Assists with moves and set-up for the department.
Acts as a secondary contact for questions when the International Dubbing Manager and/or Production Coordinator are unavailable.
Provides overall general assistance to the Production Coordinator and Dubbing Manager within a specific department(s). Be in service to the production/department (i.e. seek ways to proactively support the crew, Production Coordinator and Dubbing Manager, know when to elevate issues, understand priorities and how to handle multiple requests including those which may come from outside of the department).
Awareness of work in progress in the department (e.g. communicates priorities, provide status updates on tasks, and seek feedback).
Desired Characteristics
Software requirements: Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail and knowledge of production tracking databases
Experience/exposure to international markets preferred
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
