General Summary
The Field Marketing Manager in this role is responsible for the execution of Global Field Promotion and support Retention activities in Japan. Working with the APAC Global Field Promotions Manager & Subscription Manager, she/he will deliver direct to customer marketing overseeing contact strategy development, target/audience segmentation and campaign measurement. Her/his regional knowledge and relationship with the Japan channel sales organization will be leveraged to shape asset development and to deliver relevant and compelling customer type centric messaging. She/he will drive innovation through testing of marketing content and vehicles to drive desired customer behavior. She/he must be able to work productively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited supervision. Because he/she is part of a worldwide team, some flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate communication across multiple time zones. Attention to detail, managing multiple priorities, understanding digital media and experience on demand generation campaigns will be critical to her/his success in this role.
In addition to above, there will be the requirement for the candidate to be able to extract, analyze and critically assess areas for investment and divestment across the business and campaign activities. Critical thinking skills will be highly regarded, as will an ability to work cross functionally across APAC, in a matrix environment. We are seeking a ‘modern marketer’ who understands digital, social, and inbound and the importance of leveraging a traditional channel and e-commerce environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
CAMPAIGN PLANNING AND EXECUTION:
• Collaborate with local Japan Marketing & Sales team on campaign planning and identifying target segments
• Develop and implement Japan annual and quarterly go-to-market execution plan
• Identify and manage opportunities at all stages of the sales funnel
CAMPAIGN SET UP AND MEASUREMENT:
• Develop and execute against campaign segmentation, contact strategy and schedule
• Work with appropriate vendors to support campaigns
• Set up campaign performance tracking
• Manage campaign budget and vendor relationships
• Manage local agencies as needed
• Deliver post-campaign analysis and reporting
• Pro-actively adjust campaign tactics to optimize campaign performance
CHANNEL ENGAGEMENT:
• Guide channel partners to align against quarterly campaign
• Engage with channel sales team to drive channel engagement and revenue
• Coordinate roll-out of GFPs
• Ensure delivery of sales/marketing sales tools and campaign assets
• Deliver Internal/ external Briefings (Marketing Briefing, AMP Briefings)
Requirements:
• 4+ years Field Marketing experience in a high technology business: software experience is a plus
• Experience with executing demand generation campaigns
• Knowledge and experience in digital marketing and e-commerce highly valued
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with budget management
• Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills.
• Excellent writing skills, editing skills, and command of spelling, grammar and syntax rules
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• BA/BS degree, in Business Administration, Communications or Marketing.
