Responsibilities
The Manager, Programming Finance will be part of the E! Network Programming Finance team. The role encompasses all aspects of operational finance and controllership related to “E! News” and “Daily Pop” original programming. “E! News” is an iconic brand that has become synonymous with the latest in pop culture and entertainment and “Daily Pop” is an exciting new live extension. This position will report to the Snr Director, Financial Planning & Strategy for E! and Esquire Networks.
• Own and manage all financial aspects of “E! News” and “Daily Pop” production including budgeting, actuals, pacing, quarter close, and day to day financial & Cash Flow operations.
• Work with “E! News” & “Daily Pop” operations teams to understand production needs and partner on cost management.
• Partner with “E! News” & “Daily Pop” HR teams to manage headcount and payroll, and understand union rules
• Cash Flow responsibilities include forecasting (LRP, Budgets, Estimates & Closes), analysis, coordination of 3rd party payments & tie-outs with our internal portfolio partners
• Execute on all aspects of “E! News” and “Daily Pop” quarter close, including journal entries, DR and supplemental schedule submissions, account reconciliations and balance sheet audits
• Work closely with Snr Director to manage, identify and highlight business risks and opportunities throughout the quarter, provide analytics and take on ad-hoc projects
• Prepare and participate in presentations for senior management
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting
• Strong preference for prior broadcast or cable television production finance experience
• Must have excellent PC skills, particularly in Excel (Powerpoint preferred, but not required);
• Knowledge of SAP General Ledger preferred
