Responsibilities
WMAQ-TV, the NBC-owned television station in Chicago is looking for a Client Service Rep to handle orders for advertising airing on WMAQ-TV.
JOB DUTIES:
Work closely with Sales Account Executives at the station and National Sales office to provide complete customer service to all NBCUniversal clients.
Assist assigned Account Executives with sales presentation’s, work with AE/Client/Traffic to resolve invoice discrepancy research and resolution.
Receive, enter and maintain all commercial orders in sales and traffic systems
Verify all incoming orders for acceptable rates, ratings, and programming to minimize last minute changes.
Accurately enter large volumes of agency sales orders into the Wide Orbit system
Relay maintenance of contracts to agencies.
Act as a liaison between Sales Account Executives and ad agency to meet all buyer requests, including contract, inventory and program details.
Track performance of contracts on local station through proprietary rating system.
Partner with traffic department to solve any open scheduling issues including copy and media resolution, order validation and dispute resolution.
Qualifications/Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 1 year of experience working with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Minimum 1 year of previous work experience at a TV station, rep firm or ad agency preferred.

Desired Characteristics
Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of television sales traffic software system (i.e. Wide Orbit, DARE, E-port) preferred.
Ability to be a change agent and be process-oriented
Able to work efficiently while meeting continuous deadlines under pressure
Able to analyze current processes and help implement improvements for continuous operating growth and productivity
Superior organizational skills - able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
Ability to quickly learn technical system and any upgrades
