PURPOSE:
The person will directly report to the Senior Site Services Manager of Market Engagement and ideally should have working knowledge of digital product design, product management, product marketing or digital marketing. The person must be able to research market data, analyze the data, and then present it to Management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Comparative analysis of editorial storytelling tools
• Complete an analysis of Local Markets and USA TODAY to identify best practices across the newsrooms
• Assist with communication of products to the Local Markets
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
• Desired Education/Experience:
◦ Computer Science, Marketing, Business / Communications / Journalism, Media Arts and Design (or similar) majors with a GPA of at least 3.0
• Required Skills:
◦ Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point) / Excellent written and verbal communication skills
◦ The intern must be well organized, detail-oriented, adaptable and flexible
◦ Excellent organizational skills, analytical and communication skills
◦ Interest in emerging digital technologies
• Desired Skills:
◦ Familiarity with screen capture and image editing applications
