LOCATION: LA OR NYC
Twitter is looking for an research analyst to support insights and effectiveness measurement for our Media and Entertainment vertical. Broadly, you will help to prove and improve the value of Twitter to the marketplace. In support of Sales and the Advertising Research Manager, you will execute campaign measurement (e.g., surveys) for top accounts, from initial scoping to results delivery. Separately, you will oversee the progress and run the logistics of custom 3rd-party studies designed for the broader market.
Responsibilities
Measure the Investments of Top Advertising Accounts: Alongside Sales and the Manager, you will conduct campaign measurement like attitudinal surveys, with detailed work inclusive of the following: 1) client kickoff meeting with vendor, 2) survey or analysis scope design, 3) internal study launch & oversight, 4) progress tracking & troubleshooting, 5) results extraction, and 6) data analysis and “story finding”.
Manage Media & Entertainment Measurement Analyses: Collaborate and provide feedback to Sales, Product and Media Partnerships identifying opportunities for advertisers and content partners through innovations in media measurement. Facilitate campaign measurement, from initial scoping to results delivery, oversee the timeliness, quality, cost-efficiency, and data defensibility of market-facing “thought leadership” findings about Twitter’s audience or general impact on media and entertainment.
Qualifications
• BA/BS: 3+ yrs experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis within the advertising industry, ideally in media research, market research, or analytics
• Knowledgeable about TV measurement, digital media research/measurement and methodological considerations (i.e. causal modeling) and a strong understanding of brand ROI
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills (e.g. could independently manage a project with a 3rd-party vendor); A strong understanding of Audience, Brand, and/or ROI analytics
• Experience with basic descriptive and inferential (e.g. regression, ANOVA, etc.) statistical techniques.
• Strong familiarity with statistical packages (SPSS, R, etc), data query languages/tools (e.g., SQL, Presto), and programming languages (e.g. Python).
• Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills--particularly across geographic and time-zone boundaries. Ability to build internal networks to accomplish goals through collaboration with resources across “dotted-line” teams.
• Organized, responsible, with a focus on adhering to multiple project timelines (e.g., oversee 10+ client analyses simultaneously)
• Can balance the need for quick turnaround (e.g., a client output) with longer-term strategic efforts (e.g., a presentation for a large conference)
• Willingness to travel to visit clients, attend industry events, or learn in different office (up to 10%)
