The Opportunity
Marie Claire is looking for a West Coast Director to sell integrated programs that include print, digital, sponsorships and events.
Ideal candidate must have a proven track record of success in generating cross-platform advertising sales. Must be a motivated self-starter who is inventive and entrepreneurial in their approach to generating business with strong internal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across the organization.
Requirements/Skills/Experience
• Must be an experienced media sales professional with a with proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals and a minimum of 5 years of experience at a national consumer magazine
• Extensive senior level client and agency relationships and interaction on
• Analytical/strategic thinker, creative problem solver, resourceful, innovative and creative
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• A knowledge of Salesforce and Excel
Key Responsibilities
• Drive revenue across all platforms for Marie Claire for Los Angeles and San Francisco
• Coordinate with marketing, research and art teams to prepare materials and positioning in the competitive landscape
• Target minimum of 15 outside sales calls weekly and travel within assigned territory
• Prepare internal tracking documents and update Business Development and prospect for new clients
• Provide status reports, weekly itineraries, and projections
