Job Description:
This is a back-end Java Developer position. You will be a part of the group that is responsible for editorial and publishing applications for The Dow Jones Digital Newsroom.
Responsibilities:
• Implement, maintain and troubleshoot critical back-end applications for the publishing system.
• Work with editors, product managers and other developers to deliver efficient and reliable solutions.
• Be a part of 24x7 3rd level support rotations for the Digital Newsroom.
Skills & Experience:
• Computer Science B.S. or equivalent experience
• 5 years of Java experience
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux
• Understanding of SQL and Xpath queries is required
• Apache http server configuration knowledge is a plus
• AWS experience is a plus
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a plus
