Role Description:Our team is looking for a motivated Digital Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of USA TODAY Sports partner websites, working in our Los Angeles office. This is a great opportunity to expand ones knowledge of digital advertising and sports marketing. Areas include: pre and post sales, new partnership sourcing and onboarding, networking, campaign execution and ad monetization, editorial promotion, digital trends, and much more.This role will report to the Director or Partner Account Management for the USA TODAY Sports Media Group.
Essential Job Functions:
• Manage relationships and daily tasks associated with affiliate sports partners, including media buying, revenue opportunities, data tracking and reporting.
• Implement best practices, introduce new ad monetization solutions, and provide exceptional customer service to affiliated partners.
• Monitor and deliver premium and indirect advertising campaigns by working closely with the sales and campaign management teams.
• Handle new partneron-boarding and development.
• Supply ad tags to partners, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Forecast available inventory to support sales efforts, while understanding the capabilities of the network.
• Help organize the partner network by analyzing spend reports and trends.
• Update internal site lists, documents, and campaign calendars.
• Monitor and flag partner sites that go offline, stop updating content, or remove advertising code.
• Research potential business opportunities and sports vertical expansion.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business, or related field.
Related Experience:
• Two or more years’ experience in digital media, sports marketing, and/or client management
• Must be well organized, detail oriented, adaptable, and flexible
• Must possess excellent communication skills, be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle a multitude of client concerns
• Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Must be digital and social media savvy
• Sports fan a plus
