DESCRIPTION:
Showtime Networks has an immediate opening for a Manager of Production Finance with responsibility for financial and accounting aspects of original series including:
• Coordinate set-up and wrap of series productions.
• Supervise production accountants and production service companies to ensure that Showtime’s accounting policies and procedures are followed.
• Monitor productions to ensure proper guild accounting including labor rates, pension health & welfare contributions, overtime, vacation & holiday pay.
• Provide guidance on complex multi-state and international tax incentive structures in multi-currency environments, audit for compliance and oversee tax credit application process.
• Provide guidance on payroll tax and labor work issues in multi-state and international production environments.
• Coordinate location production audits to ensure that all Showtime and SOX policies and procedures are being followed.
• Coordinate with and advise production and business affairs during the budgeting and estimating process for each series.
• Lead weekly production cost report meetings with internal executives, producers and accountants.
• Review production funding and cash flow schedules.
• Manage the regularly scheduled corporate ledger reconciliations.
• Resolve guild inquiries.
• Liaise with production bank and payroll service representatives.
• Facilitate various internal and external financial audit requests.
• Coordinate and supervise 1099 process.
• Track and supervise production assets.
• Various ad hoc projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ideal candidate will have supervisory experience.
