The Creative Post-Production Supervisor is responsible for providing creative leadership to Spotify’s post-production team and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality editorial video. Working in collaboration with video directors, writers and our creative producers, the Creative Post-Production Supervisor helps ensure that project’s creative vision is properly executed and delivered to Spotify’s technical and creative specifications. This role will is based out of our Los Angeles office and reports to the Head of Video Originals.
What you'll do
• Assist Head of Video Originals in establishing creative standards and guidelines for the post-production team.
• Collaborate with creative producers, directors, writers, and editorial staff on the effective execution of each project’s creative objectives.
• Brainstorm and collaborate with the rest of the creative team on the development of new scripts and proposals.
• Manage the creative workflow of the Spotify video editorial staff, providing clear and concise creative direction to ensure the timely delivery of beautiful, high-quality cuts.
• Protect the Spotify “tone of voice” in the execution of all edits.
• Collaborate with writing team and research video subject matter when needed to ensure that edits are factually accurate.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including post-production management, project management, social marketing, video operations, legal, and others to ensure the smooth delivery of approved materials.
• Remain accountable to project budgets and timelines, especially as it pertains to creative decisions that could impact either or both.
• Ensure editors stay true to post-production processes while creative deadlines are met.
• QC deliverables to ensure all creative, aesthetic and legal requirements are met.
• Provide editor recommendations and feedback when needed.
Who you are
• 5+ years experience as a supervising producer or related management role
• Post-production technical background is a plus
• Proficient with Premiere Pro and Creative Cloud suite
• Knowledge in motion graphics workflow and implementation
• Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
• Proven track record managing multiple fast-paced projects in a large organization
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Music lover/musician is a plus
