The Associate Digital Content Specialist reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Digital Content Strategy & Functionality, supporting functionality development the AEG Intranet (Connect) along with other potential internal communications digital assets. Responsibilities include: day-to-day maintenance and support of AEG corporate intranet, including bug fixes and prioritizing the maintenance backlog; working with 3rd party providers during both large and small-scale functionality projects, formulating requirements, testing prototypes, QA of final products, and otherwise pushing projects across the finish line; coding email communications to be delivered to employees; and updating the site with additional content, as required.
Essential Duties:
•Update the intranet on a continuous and timely basis with an assortment of content.
•Liaise with 3rd party providers regarding requirements for new content/features on the intranet and other potential internal digital assets, as needed. This includes: requirements gathering with stakeholders, regularly checking project progress, fielding programmer and stakeholder questions, QA testing, etc.
•Gather, organize and upload assets from various AEG divisions/departments to ensure continual updates to the site.
•Compose and code company-wide emails relating updates and latest additions to the intranet on a regular basis, executive communications, etc.
•Ensure consistency of desktop and mobile experiences for users, helping move the intranet to a more mobile-friendly state.
•Create content for the intranet and other potential digital assets, as needed
•Assist Global Support Services team with special projects, as needed
Required Qualifications:
•A minimum education level of: High School Diploma; Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) in English, Writing, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
•Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a website specialist and/or digital communications specialist
•Experience with basic HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver
•Knowledgeable with graphic design and multimedia tools (Photoshop)
•Ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently
•Ability to work in large, cross-functional teams
•Strong communication skills (oral and written) a must
•Strong writing ability, including an assortment of styles (i.e. educational, editorial)
•Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
•Eager to learn new applications and technologies
•Self-starter, highly motivated, able to work independently, as well as work in a team environment
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook), and ability to learn required business systems
•Must have immediate access to reliable transportation and be able to travel with minimal notice
Preferred Qualifications:
•Previous experience with mid to enterprise class Content Management Systems a plus
•Previous experience with SharePoint a plus
•Experience supporting projects a plus
