Description
Content Production
• Collaborate with content strategist, content developers, marketing and product teams to create/curate stories and educational content to enhance our digital ecosystem, for the purposes of increasing online membership and course enrollment in our Design Academy, while boosting overall student engagement and educator satisfaction.
• Edit content (copy, imagery, video) post development to ensure consistency, as well as adherence to editorial standards and brand voice
• Produce and deliver all educational content prepared by the content development team, including online projects, lesson plans, courses, webinars, articles, blog posts, digital presentations, and portfolios, etc.
• Manage authors, stakeholders, and third-party vendors (agencies, creative services) and freelance proofreaders to produce high-quality digital content—on schedule and within budget.
• Optimize metadata and content for SEO during publication to increase findability of content wherever we publish.
• Curate and coordinate relevant art and related materials—articles, links, activities, media and calls to action for each new piece of content.
• Prepackage and deliver content components required for marketing efforts.
• Publish content to the CMS/LMS, accurately and on schedule.
Content Management & Governance
• Curate a range of content within “collection” pages that promote our thought leadership, while driving enrollment in our courses
• Revise, package and help promote existing content to increase engagement in our educational content, while enabling students to master Autodesk software
• Index, organize, and manage digital assets to ensure all content is properly tagged and archived, and that all Autodesk Education staff know where to find key content whenever needed.
• Edit and update the Autodesk Design Academy website to ensure that it is current, relevant, and engaging for key target audiences and to support key performance indicators for digital engagement.
• Help to create, manage, and update the Design Academy editorial calendar in collaboration with key marketing, field, and program managers.
• Oversee student portfolio and community learning groups, enforcing standards and discovering opportunities for content reuse.
• Help to manage and evolve the publishing process to optimize content for quality, consistency, and reuse
• Collaborate with AEX Content Team to increase conversion rates from site traffic to course enrollment, as well as course engagement and completion rates
• Collaborate with the AEX Content Team and AEX Marketing Team to increase inbound traffic to our digital properties, while improving user experience
Requirements
• 5+ years of proven digital publishing experience for a large enterprise or publisher
• Superior editorial, user design, and content management skills
• Superior communication and proofreading skills
• Deep knowledge of digital production processes, editorial standards, and best practices for omni-channel publishing
• Demonstrated track record of editing and producing digital content of all kinds for a range of target audiences (educational audiences, in particular)
• Proven vendor-management skills
• Expertise in taxonomies, information architecture
• Expertise in page layout design, with proven understanding of digital design best practices
• Expertise with web publishing technologies, especially Drupal and Adobe
• Proficient in image and video editing software
• Proficient in workflow and digital asset management platforms
• Proficient in publishing across Learning Management Systems (e.g., Udemy, Courseara)
• Proficient in Chicago Manual of Style
• Adept in HTML and web standards
• Experienced working effectively within collaborative, matrixed work environments
• BA/S or equivalent in related field required – English or Communications
• Masters in publishing, library science, or related field preferred
• Passionate about technology and teaching, a plus
