We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Data Analytics Intern in our Blacklick, OH office. Does this sound like you?
We are looking for an intern that is a passionate Data Analyst. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions.
Critical functions:
• Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design.
• Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities.
• They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
A successful candidate will:
• Organize that data in a way to help data analysts and companies make better business decisions.
• Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports
• Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data systems
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
A successful candidate will have:
• Pursuing degrees in any of the following related fields of study: Business/Data Analytics, Applied Math/Statistics, Information Systems, or Data Science with an interest in technology systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at report writing and/or presentation preparation and presenting findings
• Experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (i.e. Excel)
• Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques helpful
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks) is helpful
• Knowledge of data wrangling tools (ie. Alteryx or equivalent) is helpful
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (ie. Tableau or equivalent) is helpful
• Knowledge of Big Data concepts, platforms, and tools (ie Hadoop, Apache, MapR, etc.) is helpful
