The Editorial Assistant will assist with daily editorial activities, including proposal/manuscript screening and project follow-up. They will provide administrative and clerical support to their supervisor and/or editorial staff. Additionally, s/he acts as a liaison between authors, agents and different departments within the company
Responsibilities:
• Assists with editing of acquired manuscripts
• Provides follow-up on the editing and production steps of assigned acquisition projects
• Traffic books through all stages of production
• Attends editorial meetings
• Keeps up with competition and trade journals
• Acts as a liaison between authors, agents and different departments within the company
Qualifications:
• 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
• Overtime and reading on your own time necessary
• Must function as an information conduit between editorial and other departments, as well as authors and agents.
• Prior office experience
Salary for this position is $38,000.00. Full-time employees are eligible for our comprehensive benefits program. Please apply using our online application process
