Crown is seeking a Marketing Manager to join Potter Gift, an imprint of Clarkson Potter dedicated to publishing design-forward books, journals, notecards, and other paper products, as well as games, puzzles, and unique novelty formats.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing for Clarkson Potter, this position is responsible for bringing Potter Gift products to the largest possible market through innovative retailer and consumer-facing marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the VP, Marketing Director and Associate Marketing Director to create, communicate, and implement marketing campaigns for Potter Gift imprint
• Responsible for retailer and consumer marketing for 65+ products per year (and growing)
• Execute day to day marketing and promotion of Potter Gift products
• Collaborate directly with sales and editorial to devise and enact marketing plans
• Flexibly manage plans and budgets in response to marketplace
• Managing trade shows in collaboration with sales team
• Create Potter Gift catalogs in collaboration with editorial, sales and production teams
Requirements
• 3-4 years minimum experience in marketing, preferably with gift publisher or retailer.
• Fluency in key marketing concepts and tools
• Strategic and creative thinking
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in the gift marketplace
• Experience in brand building
• Ability to collaborate with publicity, editorial and sales
• Strong organizational capability and impeccable attention to detail
