Your challenge:
Reporting to the VP, Director of Marketing, for Crown Archetype and Three Rivers Press, this position is responsible for leading innovative consumer-facing marketing campaigns, as well as partnering on overall group strategies, to bring the imprints’ publications to the largest possible readership.
Responsibilities:
• Creates and leads title-specific marketing campaigns for upcoming publications and key backlist titles, focusing in pop culture, arts/entertainment, cultural icons, celebrity, and sports
• Works with Director of Marketing to communicate shared goals for each title with publishing and author teams and takes part in author acquisition proposal meetings and strategy
• Collaborates with authors and brand teams to maximize campaign effectiveness (including content integration with author’s social media and brand platforms)
• Manages marketing strategies, analytics, and budgets in order to maximize revenue and profitability
• Manages Direct Report, Marketing Manager, for Archetype and Three Rivers Press
• Implements social media advertising and influencer campaigns, as well as shares content for promotion via Crown’s community development and content marketing verticals
• Establishes and maintains relationships with third party partners for single title cross promotions as well as larger corporate initiatives
Your profile:
• 5+ years book publishing background
• Strategic and creative thinking with demonstrated success in title marketing campaigns
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in key marketing concepts and tools including email, social media marketing, search, as well as traditional book marketing
